Assistant Coach

I grew up in Alaska spending most of my time in the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and camping. I swam and ran track and cross country for my high school and then continued on with running in college at Western State in Colorado and Central Washington University. During my college summers I was introduced to the sport of triathlon as a way to cross train, and was instantly hooked. After College I continued on with triathlons and road racing. I’ve competed in USAT Age Group National Championship, qualified for Half Ironman Worlds Championship, and ran the Boston Marathon.

As a coach I have 15 years of experience working with athletes. After graduating from college, I was brought on as an assistant coach at the University where I coached cross country and track. Following that I’ve spent the last 14 years coaching high school cross country, which is something I love and continue to do now. I have coached elementary and middle school aged runners through both club and school programs. And I am currently teaching an adult triathlon swim class that I have taught for the past 6 years. I absolutely love watching those that I coach progress beyond what they thought they were capable of. I’m excited to bring my knowledge, motivation, and support to those who are seeking to learn, try, succeed, and have fun!
